We are very pleased to re-offering our popular course from the 1st term, introducing you to the business world behind the artists, galleries, fairs and auctions.

You will learn how to find art that not only suits your tastes, but is a good investment. With a focus on reproductions, modern and contemporary art and photography, this class is very responsive to the interests of our small group of students.

We’ll start with a gallery walk including a wide range of galleries, followed by an afternoon at an auction either at Drouot or Artcurial. And we’ll end with a visit to an artist’s atelier chosen by the students.

This course is a great opportunity to make an art purchase under the guidance of a professional art advisor -- our students are supported in their acquisitions throughout the session.

Instructor:
Caroline Etter. Art consultant, historian of art, friend to collectors and artists both, Caroline has been immersed in the Paris art scene for 15 years. After graduating with a degree in 20th-century decorative arts from the Sorbonne, she started her career working at the Villa Médicis in Rome and at Bibliothèque nationale de France.

Since then she’s been a curator, a journalist and a gallery manager working with private and corporate clients
