Night photography is a challenging and sometimes difficult adventure but the rewards are astounding when you know some special techniques.

This advanced photography course will let you master low light and night photography plus techniques of light painting. A rich depth of colors is created with reflections on water enhanced by a black background.

Technical information is presented just before dark and the class will then try techniques described. Review and suggestions finish the course.

Course Requirements: Participants need to bring a camera that can set manually, ISO, shutter speed and aperture, plus know how to set manual mode. Your flashlight will be used for light painting. Participants are also encouraged to bring a tripod.

Instructor: Juan Manuel Abellán graduated in advertising and completed his training as a photographer in Barcelona at the Institute of Design and Image where he worked with Luca Pagliari.

In London Juan Manuel worked in Advertising agencies (Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann-Ericksson and Grey Worldwide) and in Paris where he became the assistant of photographers such as Laure Vasconi, Xavier Lucchesi, Ariadna Bufi, among others. He also worked for Daylight Photo Studio.

He then collaborated with Tendance Floue and agency Magnum Photos. Juan Manuel currently lives and works in Paris as a freelance photographer.
