On this Market Walk we will visit a well known 'market street', which is also one of the oldest streets in Paris - rue Mouffetard.

Located in the 5th arrondisement, this pedestrian oriented street is enlivened by its many shops, restaurants and the market that runs daily Tuesdays through Sunday mornings.

Here we will find fish mongers, butchers, fruit/vegetable sellers, bakeries and some trendy shops. Near the bottom of the street it becomes more of an open air market atmosphere. If time allows, we may also visit the small open market at Place Monge (Wednesday and Saturday mornings).

Although lunch is not included in the price of the market walk, for those who are interested we hope to have lunch at La Grand Mosquée.

Instructor: Our guide is Françoise Meunier who trained in the hotel and cooking school in Toulouse.  In 1997, she opened one of the first private cooking studios in Paris.  Attend a WICE Cooking Class where her practical approach and easy-to-follow demonstrations will teach you how to reproduce delicious French and ethnic dishes at home.
