Some of Paris' finest art does not live indoors in climate controlled environments.  Rather, wonderful examples of great master's work can be found outdoors, far from the maddening crowds, tucked away in surprisingly hidden places, only to be revealed to those who carefully seek it out.

We will visit Paris' perhaps most famous cemetery, Pere Lachaise where photographic opportunities abound.  There, we will explore the visual language of French gothic culture in life, death and its expression through funerary art.  We will begin to understand late 1800's symbolism of the soul.

Instructor: Christopher Mark Perez is an internationally published photographer (LensWork, PhotoLife, Gimp, and SilverShotz Magazines, as well as several books of Steampunk creations) and competition winner (including The Strobist, and The Center for Fine Art Photography). Christopher recently moved to Paris to connect with creative people in the pursuit of making fine photographic images.
