This course explores the aesthetics and theory of  film-making then applies theory to practical film production of a short film by a beginner.

Theory of film-making is reviewed with film history, specific examples of movies, aesthetics and technology.

All steps of the film production are detailed: How to find an idea, Screenwriting,  Pre-production, Mood-board, Story-board, Shooting a movie with a mobile phone, Editing and Sound.

The result is a short film of 5 minutes or less, for example the viral film Henri le Chat Noir, Paw de Deux (a 2 minute film with 7.6+ million views). You can do this too.

Classes are designed and targeted for beginners. Everyone can begin their first steps into film production. Anyone is welcome, especially those coming from photography, painting or Visual Arts backgrounds.

Participates in this course are invited to the World Premier WICE Short Film Festival, 17-Jan-2014.
