Some long-time participants in WICE’s wine tastings expressed a desire to “take things a step further.” The result is that this year we are offering a serious, comprehensive class on the wines of France modeled after the instruction that Tom Boothe, our wine teacher, used to train professionals in the U.S.

The class is open to all--beginners as well as budding experts. Participants will learn in more detail wine-making methods, viticultural geography and geology and, most importantly, will smell, taste, savor, discuss and meditate upon the archetypal examples of all the great wines of France. A serious student of this 10 class series will be able, without shame, to apply for a job in the wine world.

This is the first of three groups of class sessions (Fall, Winter and Spring). Ideally, participants will register for all three, but we know that busy schedules would make this difficult for some of you, so registration for any single group of sessions is allowed.

Instructor:  Thomas Boothe’s, extensive knowledge and passion for wine and his innovative teaching style have been fueled through work and study in a variety of wine-related fields.
