Course Description:
Starting at the Gobelins Royal Tapestry works we’ll explore the area and see some cobbled streets, go by a medieval castle, stroll along the route of an underground river, and see the weavers’ former kitchen gardens.  Then we’ll wander through the charming area of the Buttes-aux-Cailles, a shady artists’ compound right in the heart of Paris.  The 13th arrondissement really is a rich “tapestry” of an arrondissement!

Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes.  Those who wish may join the instructor after the tour for lunch.

Instructor: Lee Hubert, B.A. Boston University, French and English, is a longtime resident of Paris.
