Drawing is a form of handwriting.

Handwriting is a form of Drawing.

Drawing uses line to describe and express. Th
e lines we use in drawing or writing have a life of their own. They sag, blur, tangle, meander, cut, circumvent, and connect.

The lines we create express our emotions.  Our emotions affect the way we write or draw.  All affect our readers.

Using the carnet de voyage, this class looks closely at lines, following their travels across the page. Single lines, groupings of lines, and ultimately the moment when line changes into a shape.

Beginners and experts alike will discover how to develop their sense of creativity with simple lines and gestures to present an impressive image.

Instructor: Jan Olsson holds a Masters Degree of Fine Arts in Drawing and is an engaging teacher with many years of experience teaching.
