The Luxembourg Gardens are one of the most popular tourist sites. However, in winter we can explore more freely and focus on some of the extraordinary women of the neighborhood. You will hear about the former queen who created the gardens, the pioneering female scientist who lived there, and the cross-dressing revolutionary writer who worked there. In contrast, it was also a site of horror: armed conflict, a serial killer, and a tale of the supernatural.

About the Instructor
