Life is a map - we walk one every day.

Designed for everyone - this interactive map making workshop aims to help you put your inspiration on paper by mapping everyday life - the textures of the city, people we see, and stories that leave an impression on us. We will try different techniques, learn different ways to see a neighborhood and our paper will be our camera for those 2 and a half hours. Each of us will create our own artistic map and you will learn to experience the city in a new way.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn the basics of illustrating your own map
  • Discover techniques and different styles - scribble and paint and draw and glue
  • Search for beauty in everyday life - tips and tricks

Let’s go and explore!

About the instructor:

I am Sonja, a mapmaker, visual artist and illustrator. I try to see the world differently— not as a panorama of buildings and landmarks, but as a mosaic of memories and sensations. We leave a bit of ourselves everywhere we go, and embracing that can give us a deeper understanding of where we are now.

You can find me online on instagram and twitter: @sonjabajic and on www.sonjabajic.com
