Jewelry creation is a progressive art form and as such, this course as well as those that follow, have been designed with continuity in mind. They exemplify real life application of skills learned and repeatedly practiced until they become routine. As we progress, you'll find that many of the techniques previously learned will be incorporated and expaned upon allowing you to create an increasingly diverse array of jewelry designs.
In this fun, creative, interactive and convivial class, Allison Wiley will show you how to mix and match to create your own distinctive bead wardrobe. With the strategic use of magnetic clasps, you will be able to create a choker, a slightly longer necklace and a bracelet from a single necklace. And, as the bracelet component can also double as a centerpiece for the choker, there is no end to the possible variations you can create. Imagine the versatility of being able to travel with a single piece of jewelry which offers many different looks ranging from everyday to evening wear!
Students can expect to:
Receive all materials required for the creation of the project (beads, clasps and beading wire).
Learn and apply the 3T's: terminology, tooling and techniques
Learn new skills and reenforce existing ones
Leave the class with a unique, distinctive necklace
Course requirements: None
Note: A beading board and a crimper tool are required for this course. Purchase suggestions for materials are included with registration confirmation.
