Course Description: The Greek myths contain powerful archetypes that can inspire and guide our creative writing. Week by week, we will explore aspects of the gods – passion, vengeance, lust, comedy – and how they manifest in our lives and psyches. The creative writing can take any form – prose, poetry, dialogue. A myth is only the starting point of a journey that can lead to whatever themes emerge during the writing time in the session.

A free-flowing workshop for writers of all levels, from beginners to published authors, this workshop is for anyone who comes with an open mind and a sense of humour.

InstructorVivienne Vermes has published three collections of poetry and ten works of non-fiction. She has led and participated in long-standing creative writing groups in Paris (with a collection of members’ works published in Writing Off the Wall, 2009)  as well as in La Roane (SW France), Skyros-in-Thailand, and at the Universities of Brasov and Sibiu in Romania. She is also an actress, performing and recording regularly in Paris.
