In the wine high-school yearbook, Chardonnay probably would have been voted most popular, most attractive and most likely to succeed. A combination of George Clooney and Julia Roberts in one. It’s an easy-to-love grape.

In our past single-cépage tastings, we’ve seen the incredible range of different flavors and personalities that could be coaxed out of Chenin and Sauvignon Blanc. Now we turn to the beloved Chardonnay. We’ll taste examples from Italy, Australia, California, South Africa, the Languedoc, the Jura and of course from the Côte d’Or and Chablis. The heterogeneity will be stunning. We’ll talk about how much these differences have to do with the terroir and how much with the mindset of the given region or country.  Join us for an evening of butter, vanilla, nuts, and fresh fruit … all in our tasting tour of the world’s lovable chardonnays.

Instructor:  Thomas Boothe’s, extensive knowledge and passion for wine and his innovative teaching style have been fueled through work and study in a variety of wine-related fields.
