    Artists in Montparnasse 6th and 14th districts: discover the Paris of artistic creation, Picasso, Giacometti, Man Ray or Modigliani. Review the lexicon of art by admiring their works, discover their studios, their secret gardens and the mythical places where they met.

    Gourmet walk: discover the Paris of great chefs with a walk in the fifth and sixth arrondissements. Discover the extraordinary history of the Poilâne family, learn about French expressions related to bread, chocolate and French pastries.
    Meeting place : Place Alphonse Deville
  • Thursday 10, September, 2pm-4pm
    Paris of literature in the 5th and 6th arrondissements: Cafés, bookshops, streets and buildings from the Latin Quarter to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris preserves the memory of a rich heritage in literature. This walk will take you on a journey in the footsteps of the writers who made Paris a cultural capital.
    Meeting place : Place Saint Michel in front of the Fountain
  • Monday , September 14 2pm-4pm
    French Revolution in the 3rd and 4th arrondissements: discover the Paris of the French Revolution from Place de la Bastille, to the prison where Marie-Antoinette was imprisoned. Learn all about the great moments of the Age of Enlightenment.
    Meeting place : On the steps of the Opéra Bastille, Place de la Bastille
  • Thursday, 17 September, 2pm-4pm
    Covered passages of the 1st and 3rd arrondissements will transport you to a 19th century atmosphere far from the mad bustle of the Parisian streets. You will discover atypical shops and learn the history of these first shopping malls.
    Meeting place : Palais Royal by the Buren columns
  • Thursday 24th September, 2pm-4pm

Registration is closed

Learn French outside the classroom and experience language and cultural immersion with a tour through a Parisian neighborhood.   These French language classes combine the charm of Parisian walks with a language lesson to develop your French skills while exploring different neighborhoods with a native Parisian,  experienced French teacher.

Each walking session is centered on a theme and is two hours in length consisting of 1.5 hours  walking and finishing with 30 minutes in a café for language revision.*
 
This course is for those with an intermediate or higher level of French.

About the Instructor: Laure ABIAD has a masters degree in FLE and Literature and has been teaching French at University and in Parisian language institutes for more than 15 years. She specializes in pedagogy and develops adapted pedagogical tools to help learners improve their French language skills.
