Intrigued by the variety of modes and settings on your camera? Get away from the simple choice of shooting in automatic mode by mastering when to use the manual settings.
This in-depth course explores the manual mode factors and will teach you the secrets of Depth of field, movement and speed And also how to play with light to create your own atmosphere. You'll analyze the interaction among them and learn, in a creative and playful way, when to apply the manual mode settings.
Classes begin with an explanation of each element and continue with outdoor practical work in different lighting conditions in Paris. A review of your images and suggestions will follow.

Course Requirements: Suitable for all levels of photography. Participants should bring a camera with manual ISO, shutter speed, and aperture settings.
Location: Paris, one different location for each session. Location will be communicated 48 hours before the date of the class.
About the Instructor: Juan Manuel Abellán graduated in Advertising and Visual Arts and holds a Master in Art, philosophy and aesthetics, specialised in Photography and Contemporary Art. He has worked with the agency Magnum Photo and exhibited his work in several exhibitions, including at the Centre Georges Pompidou. Passionate about photography, Juan Manuel works as a freelance photographer with a specialization in portrait, dance and fine art photography. He looks forward to sharing his secrets with WICE members.
