This fascinating class will introduce the technique of embroidery on printed fabrics. It is a chance to build your confidence with embroidery stitches, experiment with colours schemes and explore different and unexpected fabrics. You can keep your embroideries framed as beautiful textile art or, to add a certain je ne sais quoi, we will teach you how to transform them into patches!

About the Instructor: Rebecca Devaney is a textile artist, researcher and educator who currently works as a Haute Couture Embroiderer in Paris, France.  She has a BA in Art and Design Education and a MFA in Textile Art and Artefact from the National College of Art and Design, Ireland and recently completed professional training in Haute Couture Embroidery at the École Lesage, France.
