This one-day workshop will provide you with the tools you need to make sure you are familiar with your camera and will offer easy guidelines for making powerful photographs of people—strangers as well as people you know. The power of the human element is an undeniable force, so we'll focus on how to capture personalities and how to prepare for the "decisive moment" as people do the things they do that make us all so touchingly human. You'll learn creative guidelines and technical controls in the comfort of the instructor’s Île St Louis atelier and you'll get hands-on practice with creative assignments as you wander the Île St Louis and Île de la Cité in search of local characters.
You’ll take a break for lunch at a local bistro and end the day by reviewing images from each photographer. Students can expect to:

About the Instructor: Meredith Mullins is a popular photo instructor and fine-art photography mentor, an internationally exhibited photographer, and a winner of international photography competitions, including the Grand Concours Photo sur Paris, PX3 Competition, Julia Margaret Cameron Award, Photographer’s Forum, and Worldwide Gala Photo Awards. She is the author of the award-winning book In a Paris Moment, a leader of photo adventure tours, and the Co-Founder and Director of the International Fine Art Photography Competition.
