There’s nothing more beautiful than the sunset hour in Paris unless it’s the hour that follows when the sky is a rich blue and the street lamps and monument lights begin to glow. This workshop will explore this magical time and the technical and creative challenges that this evocative light presents.

During the first session, we’ll review techniques for shooting at sunset and in the low-light of evening (exposure, shutter speed, white balance, focus, composition). We’ll wander the islands (Ile de la Cité and Ile St Louis), capturing sparkling water, romantic bridges, and history at every turn. During the second session, we’ll meet the characters, lights, and chaotic energy of the Trocadero and Tour Eiffel as we hone our skill at photographing night lights, action, and interesting people doing interesting things.

Instructor:  Meredith Mullins is an internationally exhibited photographer and popular photography instructor; a winner of the 2009 Grand Concours Photo sur Paris, 2010 PX3 Competition, and 2010 Worldwide Gala Photo Awards; a finalist for the 2010 Julia Margaret Cameron Award; and author of the award-winning book “In a Paris Moment.”
