Did you know that “marais” means “swamp” in French? Hardly a very glamorous beginning for a neighborhood now known as the epicenter of Parisian fashion!  Walk the Marais with our guide and learn how it took its shape, from the magnificence of the aristocrats’ masquerades to the clothing manufacturers of the 20th century.  Let her introduce you to the past and present-day stories of boutiques and brands. Learn about the concept of “couture pastries” or immerse yourself in the history of French perfume.

About our Guide: Aloïs Guinut is a style coach and personal shopper.  She studied fashion at the prestigious Institut Français de la Mode (French Institute of Fashion), founded by Yves St. Laurent's business partner and associate Pierre Bergé, and then began a career in the creative industries. Three years later, she decided to become a freelance personal shopper and started working with women who were visiting France.
