Our guide, chef Francoise Meunier, will talk about the history of the great market at Les Halles and its transformation into the Rungis Market.  During our walk, will we discover some of the restaurants and kitchen supply shops that still exist today from that era.  We will also tour Rue Montorgueil and its many food stalls.  You won’t want to miss out on our first WICE Market Walk.  Please wear comfortable walking shoes for this two hour visit.  If you like, we may grab a coffee or snack after the tour is finished.  This is a walking tour of the markets and kitchen supply shops.  The price of this class does not include any food samples, lunch or coffee during or after the tour.

Instructor: Françoise Meunier trained in the hotel and cooking school in Toulouse.  In 1997, she opened one of the first private cooking studios in Paris.  Her practical approach and easy-to-follow demonstrations will teach you how to reproduce delicious French and ethnic dishes at home.

Preregistration required by May 23, 2011.
