"You need to claim the events of your life to make yourself yours."
– Anne-Wilson Schaef

In this course you will be given prompts and exercises to write about your experiencesundefinedFrom your life, past and present; of significant people, and of your losses, hopes, joys, longings, loves, etc. Though you may choose to share what you write, primarily we will read and discuss extracts from the journals and letters of writers and talk about the process of journaling and the insights and challenges that arise along the way. You may even want to practice a personal and creative kind of writing, turning your experiences into essay, fiction, or poetry.

Instructor: "Hemingway-ESQUE David Barnes" is a Paris based writer, teacher, and workshop facilitator. He won Shakespeare & Company's Travel in Words Competition in 2006 and is now in his 3rd year of a Masters in Gestalt psychotherapy at Metanoia, London.
