As the Treasurer you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensures French tax-related documents and legal forms are filed on time, such as the documents required to maintain the organization’s tax-exempt status;
  • Develops and serves as chair of the finance committee and financial officer of the organization;
  • Manages, with the finance committee, the board’s review of and action on its financial responsibilities;
  • Assists the chief executive in preparing the annual budget and presenting it to the board for approval;
  • Reviews the annual audit and answers board members’ questions;
  • Provide monthly financial report at WICE board meetings;
  • Manage WICE bank account and sign checks on behalf of the organization;
  • Reconciles bank accounts and produces financial statements;
  • Work with the Finance/Accounting team to monitor organizational expenses, provide financial projections and make recommendations and prepare the annual budget.

The role requires to be fluent in English and French, proficient with Microsoft Office, especially EXCEL, knowledge of INTUIT QUICKBOOKS and possess excellent organizational skills, written communication and reporting skills.

Time Commitment: Average of five hours per week, with an additional two-hour monthly board meeting.

Start Date: Immediate Start with a minimum commitment of 24 months required.
