Upon receipt of your completed application, our Volunteer Department will contact you to schedule an informal interview. At that point we will discuss your interests, talents and availability, as well as what opportunities are available at the time. Job-specific training will be provided on-site.

    Events Manager


    You will be part of the Marketing department.



    • Plan, organize, coordinate and promote the WICE Open House and/or Spring Launch which

    take place in Spring and Fall

    • Promote WICE at local events in September in the current year to October the following

    year (4-7 events)

    • Input event information on the WICE website
    • Keep track of event attendance data and produce short reports for larger events
    • Assist with related event marketing tasks as needed


    Desired Skills:

    • Experience organizing or managing events
    • Excellent people skills
    • Professional attitude
    • Ability to stay focused, proactive and handle responsibility
    • Ability to delegate
    • Can adhere to deadlines
    • Computer literacy - ability to navigate a back office a plus
    • A strong desire to put your skills to use volunteering
    • French language skills a plus but not required


    Start/End Date of Position:

    Open House: Must be available full-time in September and at least on a part- time basis in late August and early October. Candidates wishing to continue volunteering after this time may do so.

    Spring Launch: Must be available on a part- time basis in January and February. Candidates wishing to continue volunteering after this time may do so.

    Head of Languages

    WICE is currently seeking a volunteer to fill the role of Languages Director.

    The Languages Director is part of a dynamic group of program directors with the common task of coordinating learning and cultural services for Paris’s Expat and French community.

    The Languages Director is directly responsible for the successful development, implementation and administration of the Language Department, its programs and members.

    The Language Director is accountable to the Program Director. 

    Guided Discussion Group Facilitator 

    We are seeking discussion group facilitators in, both English and French!

    It is a great opportunity to bring together a group of people and discuss a topic of the day whilst helping WICE members to develop and improve  their language skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

    Head of Marketing

    We are looking for a new leader for our Marketing Team! The volunteer will need to create and maintain a marketing plan to grow and retain membership and strengthen WICE’s presence in Paris’ international community.

    Duties include working with the board of directors to create a vision for the organization, prioritize the marketing of programs and activities in alignment with the vision, and help cultivate WICE's role as a public ambassador

    The Marketing Department work closely with the Membership Director to accomplish marketing and membership goals

    Ideally, the Head of Marketing needs to be able to commit to 10 volunteer hours a week. It is possible to work from home, but "onsite" presence during business hours will be necessary at times. We are looking for someone who can maintain contact and guide a team. 

    Digital Content Creator

    The Content Creator is responsible in helping drive the creative strategy of WICE. You should be passionate about creativity and communicating the organization with a clean, clear, and fun approach.

    With direction from the Marketing Manager and in collaboration with a team, you will help to execute the strategic vision of the organisation.

    The designer will develop and produce both print and web materials that promote our goals. This includes but is not limited to: web pages, print and online ads, web banners, email blasts, brochures, and newsletters.


    • WICE membership is required for all volunteer roles.
    • Please apply only if you are living in Paris.
    • A commit of six months in required for each position. Ideally, the candidate can commit one year. 
    • Time commitment required for each position varies. On average, 5-8 hours each week are required with some availability necessary during business hours.
    • Some work may be completed remotely, but time on-site will also be required.
    • The WICE office is closed during July and August.
