Events Manager


You will be part of the Marketing department.



  • Plan, organize, coordinate and promote the WICE Open House and/or Spring Launch which

take place in Spring and Fall

  • Promote WICE at local events in September in the current year to October the following

year (4-7 events)

  • Input event information on the WICE website
  • Keep track of event attendance data and produce short reports for larger events
  • Assist with related event marketing tasks as needed

  • Computer literacy - ability to navigate a back office a plus

  • French language skills a plus but not required


Start/End Date of Position:

Open House: Must be available full-time in September and at least on a part- time basis in late August and early October. Candidates wishing to continue volunteering after this time may do so.

Spring Launch: Must be available on a part- time basis in January and February. Candidates wishing to continue volunteering after this time may do so.

Marketing Team Member

The Marketing Department supports the activities of WICE

in promoting programs and membership to the organisation

and externally through a range of platforms.

The WICE team are seeking a number of enthusiastic marketing

volunteers to work on specific projects that cover a wide range of 

active engagements. The role are designed to take up between

10-15 hours a month and include:

  • Assists with planning and promoting events such as Open House.
  • Promotion and planning  apre evenings.
  • Advertises courses and events internally to members and externally. 
  • Developing partnerships with other associations/businesses.
  • Promoting courses and events through social media.

You will work with the WICE Office Manager and be in the office on your own on Wednesdays between 10:00 am and 3:00pm, including school holidays

  • Welcome and assist visitors
  • Answer phone queries regarding membership
  • Assist with course registrations
  • Provide administrative support to contribute to the smooth running of the office and assist other WICE departments with specific projects.


The Languages Director is directly responsible for the successful development, implementation and administration of the Language Department, its programs and members

Key Tasks

  • Communicating information to attendees of courses
  •  Responding to email queries
  • Maintaining and updating information on the WICE course database

Time Commitment: 5-6 hours a week on average.Can work from home but must be available for meetings at the office from time-to-time

Start/End Date: Immediate start with a 12 month commitment preferred


Do you have a strong administrative background? WICE is seeking a volunteer to work within the Programs Team and  support and guide  the individual WICE Program Directors

Working closely with the Director of the Program Department

  • Assist with organizing the bi-annual creation of program courses
  • Monitoring the scheduling of courses
  • Loading course information onto the WICE website
  • Compiling, analysing and creating presentations of Programs results
  • Facilitating communication among Program departments and between Programs and other WICE departments

Time commitment: Average of 5 hours per week, with an additional 5 hours per week required during the peak course creation time of Spring and Fall


We are looking for a native English speaker to write and edit our bi-weekly e-newsletter (WICE Direct) from August 2018 onwards.

Information is taken from the WICE website and work can be done either in the WICE Office or at home. The newsletter is critical for the promotion of our events and courses.

Time committment: 4-6 hours per  issue


  • Only apply if you are currently living in Paris
  • Positions are only open to applicants who can commit to a minimum of six months - 1 year
  • WICE membership is required for all volunteer roles
  • Time commitment required varies for each position but on average 5-8 hours each week with some availability required during business hours
  • Some work may be completed at home but time "on-site" will also be required
  • WICE is closed in summer - July and August

Do you like planning events? We are seeking a motivated individual with a background in event management, planning and co-ordination. The role involves the co-ordination and the organising of internal WICE events and representation at external events.

WICE holds the following main promotional events:

Fall Open House program launch in September
Spring program launch in mid January
Apero evening on the last Tuesday of each month

Time Commitment: 4-5 hours per week. More concentrated time required prior and during Open House Fall program launch. (Open House requires advance planning in March/April and commitment during late August early September).

Please note this position would not be suitable for someone with full time employment

This position is currently open. Candidates should be able to commit to at least 12 months.
