Membership
Your membership card will be sent within ten days of receipt of your payment. You may use your
card to take advantage of a number of benefits and discounts (see Membership benefits section).
Membership is not transferable or refundable either in whole or in part.
Registration Process
To register for a program, send your check with the registration form, allowing five days for receipt
at the WICE office. We do not confirm unless you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. You
will be notified only if the program is cancelled or if it is full. Payment by credit card (for amounts of
16€ or more) is possible at the office or through our secure fax line. Registrations cannot be made by
phone. Call before registering to be sure space is available and to confirm the starting date, time and
place. We recommend you sign up as early as possible to ensure a minimum enrolment level is reached
two weeks prior to the starting date.
Last-Minute Sign-Ups
Unless otherwise indicated, you may enroll in a program at the last minute if there is space available. You must call first and plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early so you can be registered. WICE programs
are limited to a specific number of participants, especially for museum visits and walking
tours. We don't want to turn you away, so please call in advance.
Course Cancellation Policy
If your request for cancellation is made up to 10 days prior to the start of a course, a voucher or refund is available, less a 5€ processing fee. This voucher can be applied to a future course within the same academic year. We cannot issue credit for a "no show", i.e. if you fail to show up at the specified time and place or if you miss one or more sessions of a program, regardless of the reason (including public transportation strikes.)
If your request for cancellation is less than 10 days prior to the start of the course, you will receive a refund only if a replacement is found. Cancellation notice must be done either in person or in writing by email or fax.
Course Modifications
WICE reserves the right to change the time, date or place of a program or to cancel if there is an
insufficient number of participants, or for other valid reasons. We will notify registrants of any changes
and, in the case of cancellations, issue vouchers or refunds. WICE tries to reschedule cancelled
programs, giving priority to those who originally signed up.
Personal responsibility/liability
WICE is here to provide you with unique and engaging experiences through tours and visits of a wide
variety of museums and locations. You have a large part to play in creating a convivial environment
and helping WICE to maintain relationships with our museum contacts, instructors and tour guides.
We ask that you respect the requests made by the WICE representatives and our guides/instructors
while on these tours. Failing to do so, you will be solely responsible and liable for any damages incurred,
whether physical or otherwise.
Policy on Strikes
WICE stays open and holds classes during transportation strikes and political protests, except in rare instances when we judge the safety of our volunteers and participants to be in jeopardy. Unless you are otherwise notified, please assume that a given program is going ahead as scheduled. Call WICE to confirm if you are in doubt.
