Tired of accumulating millions of pictures that get lost in hard drives or external discs ? Learn how to create a personal photo book, organizing your archives in a creative and interesting way.

Creating a photo book is not only about making an album, it's also about telling a story. It means thinking about the layout, how to put the pictures together and how to harmonize them.  It's also about selecting the pictures; it's very important to tell a coherent story throughout.

Other questions to consider include: how to print the images? Whether to make the book by your own hands or order it through the net?  And in the event you want to publish the book as an artist, how best to publish it?  Through an editor or self-publish?

Family album or artist book, the photo book is an essential tool for preserving and showing our photographs.  This course is an easy introduction to the photo book world and the beauty of telling stories with images.

Students can expect to:

  • learn the basics of photo book creation
  • learn about various publication options
  • work on developing their own photo book during class

Course Requirements

  • Students are requested to bring a laptop to class.
  • Suitable for all levels of photographers
