Michelle HunevenAt their best, memoirs, personal essays, and other forms of creative non-fiction are a compelling mix of keen observation, vivid expression, and clarity of thought.  In this workshop, we will develop our individual voices, address ways to research and report our subjects, and explore the use of literary techniques to create non-fiction that is lively, evocative, meaningful, and deeply true.  We will discuss dialogue, narration, sentences, structuring strategies, and other elements of craft as they arise in the work we’re reading.  

Requirements: Submit a 10-20 page draft of your work by Friday, 31 May 2016.  See the Manuscript Submission Guidelines page of the Paris Writers' Workshop website for more details.

This course is a part of Paris Writers' Workshop, a week-long program that includes a mandatory Registration Reception on Sunday, 26 June 2016. For more information about the program, please visit www.pariswritersworkshop.org.

Agent Consultation: Your registration automatically entitles you to a one-on-one consultation with your workshop faculty member. However, if you wish to have a one-on-one consultation with a literary agent, please register for that separately (PWU301 Literary Agent Consultation). Agent consultations are 60 euros for PWW participants.

Literary Dinner: If you would like to attend the literary dinner, please register for that separately as well (PWL012 Literary Dinner). Dinner rates for PWW participants and their guests are 50 euros per person.
