The new Fondation Louis Vuitton, designed by Frank Gehry, rises like a sailing ship from the surrounding children's park and Bois de Boulogne. Its form and reflecting surfaces are a photographer's paradise. This photo expedition will focus on key elements to photographing a work of architectural genius.

We will first meet in a nearby café to learn about light, exposure, composition and the creative use of reflection. Then we will wander through the Jardin d'Acclimatation, photographing whatever strikes us in the play areas, and, finally, will study this fascinating building from all angles (inside and out).

The photographs we make on this expedition will be featured in an upcoming WICE article. You will also receive comments on your photographs from class participations and the instructor in the week following class.

Students can expect to:
  • review composition guidelines and techniques for exposure and creative use of depth of field
  • get hands-on experience with practical assignments
  • receive feedback on their work
Course requirements
  • Suitable for all levels of photographers and those wishing to develop their skills.
  • *Entry cost for the Foundation is not included in the course fee.
Please note: The cost of entry to the foundation is not included in the course fee.
