After celebrating the 45th anniversary of his fashion house in July 2007, Valentino retired in January of this year. For almost half a century Valentino dressed the international jetset. His name is linked with glamour, elegance, classic chic, and also with the colors white, red and black. His first big international coup was designing Jackie Kennedy’s wedding dress for her marriage to Onassis. Valentino was also a favorite of Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn.
This is the first retrospective in France of the work of the famous Italian fashion designer, and over 200 items from his collections will capture the highlights of his exceptional career.
Instructor: Ingrid Held, speaker at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Musée de la Mode and the Baccarat Museum.
