A Guided Blind Tasting
Before setting out for new adventures, our “professor of pleasure” Alexandre Lazareff will attempt to arm us with the tools and tips we will need to succeed in our future wine tasting experiences. We will find out how to recognize the origin of a wine by the color, how to differentiate French and new world wines, which “cépages” have a specific taste and how to guess the age of a wine. At the end of the tasting, Alexandre will test us with a mystery wine. The winner will take home one of his bottles of Pommard. Don’t forget that for this dinner we will meet at Minim’s, Pierre Cardin’s Bistro.
Instructor: Alexandre Lazareff owns a small vineyard in Burgundy and has been a food critic for Le Figaro and France-Soir for over fifteen years. For the past seven years he has presented engaging gourmet wine tasting dinners, sharing his passion for wine with WICE.
