Legacy of a Hero: A Key to Understanding France Today

How does France today reflect the ideas and vision of Napoléon Bonaparte? Author Steven Englund’s award-winning best seller, Napoleon: A Political Life, which has been translated into French and awarded Le Grand Prix for Best Foreign Book of 2004 from La Fondation Napoléon, is considered the first modern, comprehensive political biography of history’s most famous general, with new and startling analyses and interpretations. Whether you are new to French culture or feel you have some understanding of it, this intriguing evening is sure to shed light on the many ways in which this great French leader left his imprint on France today.
