Libraries without Borders is a French/American Non-Profit NGO, whose mission inspires three principal goals:

• Provide ready access to books in developing countries by sending books, collections or periodicals to national libraries, local universities, cities and villages.
• Promote book exchange, computerization of partner libraries, and creation of new libraries.
• Initiate programs to protect existing personal book collections by educating individual book collectors who might be in possession of specialized books regarding donation opportunities at interested libraries.

The hope is that these objectives will motivate the sharing of knowledge around the world and contribute to educational improvements worldwide.
