In 1981, President Mitterrand decided to transfer the former Ministry of Finance, then located in the Louvre Museum, to the 13th district in Bercy. In 1989, the buildings of the Bercy village were built in a modern style which contrasted with the original 19th century buildings and with architectural elements inspired by the medieval period. This original architecture highlights the financial institution while relying on symbols inherited from our history.

Come and visit this financial institution to discover its beautiful architecture as well as works by famous contemporary artists. You will visit the Colbert building, the Ministry’s Hotel and see famous works such as paintings (Matta, Alechinsky...), sculptures (César, Bourdelle...) and tapestries (Soulages...).

Instructor: Provided by the Ministry of Bercy

Deadline for registration: Monday, May 7.
